The classic ship of the demanding middle class was built in 1977 in Germany and completely renovated in 2005. All cabins have been renewed, including the bathroom. The large sundeck and the Rundumpromenade invite you to relax and observe the beautiful sights and river landscapes. The very friendly ship crew is anxious for your well-being.
MS Tikhi Don is a very well-maintained ship that has undergone complete general reconstruction to meet the demands and requirements particularly of the North American market. Now she has elevator, better arrangements of internal premises and Western decor with portraits of Russian tsars and famous nobles of Russian Empire. All cabins are furnished identically in a very nice traditional style. Continental cuisine and Russian Dishes.
On the ship there are 110 comfortable outside staterooms: 2 Panorama Suites, 4 Junior Suites, 34 Twin Deluxe Plus, 70 Twin Deluxe. All staterooms are outside with river view. Staterooms on all decks have large opening windows; Panorama Suites have 5 non-opening panoramic windows. In all staterooms: satellite TV, board radio, telephone, small fridge, hairdryer, 220 V - two round pins, 110 V sockets for both US and European plugs, safe box. All staterooms have hotel-style beds: Queen Size beds are convertible in two twin beds. Private bathrooms with shower are in all cabins.
In foreign markets, the ship is being promoted under the brand name Alexandr Borodin.
