Being in a place surrounded by numerous snow peaks with a view to the world deepest lakes is a memory that will last for a long time. In winter Baikal Lake is completely frozen and turns to the enormous ice-skating ring.

Total length of Baikalsk ski slopes is over 15 km, maximum altitude difference – 550 m, 5 lifts. The resort is one of the best in Siberia and the Far East of Russia that attracts many Russian visitors as well as many guests from other countries. In 2001 Mr Putin spent seven-day vacation skiing in Baikalsk. Snowboard and cross-country skiing are also popular there.

The tour starts in the early morning when tourists are picked up from the hotel by private car and transferred to Lake Baikal shore, Baikalsk city (140 km, 3 hours). The road to Baikalsk is a part of Moscow-Vladivostok highway, getting along in Siberian taiga forest. Mysterious winter landscapes are waiting for all visitors. There are also few gorgeous view points on the way.

As soon as you arrive in Baikalsk you are finally free to enjoy the most exciting part of your tour and to explore all types of winter activities. The day is spent at ski slopes in the fresh air that for sure will give you a lot of energy.

In late afternoon driving back to Irkutsk.

Note: At the resort tourists rent equipment and buy lift ticket by themselves. Rent of skis or snowboard is approx. 21-33 $ /per day, a day lift ticket is 21$ during a week and 35 $ on weekends and on holidays.
