Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport...our guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport. Transfer to the hotel. Free time. In the evening, welcome dinner at the restaurant. Go over the trip plan, and settle in. Overnight at the local hotel (3 stars). 

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky...early morning flight (~ 1 hour) by a Russian made MI-8 helicopter to Ksudach Volcano. Here we will observe the crater lake Schtubelya, cascade waterfall streaming from the crater and hot springs along the lake's shore. Next stop is our target destination - the Kurilskoye Lake. Upon arrival, our guide will take you to the cabin, which will be your home for the next 3 nights. The cabin is a basic two story cottage made of wood. It has 3 large rooms (4 bunk beds each) and a dinning room. Bathroom is the outdoor box. 

Kurilskoye Lake Camp....the daily itinerary is flexible but will certainly include a maximum amount of time outdoors viewing bears. Usually you’ll be outdoors by 9:00AM. Don’t worry if it rains, we’ll head out anyway since the bears don’t seem to mind wet weather. We can take hikes along the lakeshore, to the tundra, to a bear-viewing platform overlooking a salmon-filled river. When hiking, one of the Reserve’s rangers will accompany the group along with your guide. If weather permits, we will also take short motor boat trips to see Stellar sea eagles nesting along the shore. 

Kurilskoye Lake Camp...after breakfast we will fly back to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city with a stop at the Peninsula's largest hot springs valley near the Khodutka Volcano. The springs gather into a small stream where you can take a bath. Upon arrival to the city our driver will take you to the hotel (3 stars). Supper. Overnight. 

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky...free day. It is yours to tour the city or surrondings. Overnight at the hotel (3 stars).

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky...transfer to the airport.
