Make your own way to Bolshoi Theatre — a theatre as famous for scandal as it is ballet and opera — in central Moscow to meet your guide, and then set off on your 3.5-hour walking tour. As you walk, listen to your guide share stories of Moscow’s history, architecture, culture and politics.

Stop by a grand monument that is dedicated to Yuri Dolgoruky, the founder of Moscow, and then stroll through the capital’s streets and winding, centuries-old lanes. Nowadays, it is the residence of the Russian president, but it dates back to the 15th century when it was constructed as a castle for the Russian Tsars.
