Tour to Arzamas and Diveevo monastery (11 hours)
ITERNARY:
08:00 the tour begins, our driver and English-speaking guide will pick you up at your address in Nizny Novgorod to depart for Arzamas by car or mini-van (113 km).
11:00 arrival to Arzamas. An excursion and a visit to the Nikolaev convent. In summer there is a possibility to visit the Resurrection Cathedral and to venerate the life-giving cross. (From November to May the cathedral is closed.)
13:00 arrival to Diveevo. Sightseeing tour of the Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveevsky convent. You will visit the territory of the Diveevsky monastery, get acquainted with its history and customs in the monastery. Then you will visit the Trinity Cathedral, where the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov are kept, and the Transfiguration Cathedral.
14:00-16:30 Passage through the Holy Canal of the Virgin and free time to have dinner. You will be able to go to one of the refectories on the territory of the monastery and try monastic pies, bread, pancakes.
17:00 After a meal you will make a trip to the holy spring (Kazan or Mother Alexandra) where you will be able to take of holy water and also swimming in the spring is possible (optional).
18:00 Departure to N. Novgorod.
21:00 Arrival at your hotel
