09:00 Departure from Nizhny Novgorod to Gorodets (53 km).

11:00 Arrival in Gorodets. Sightseeing tour of the historical part of Gorodets.

You walk along the main streets of this fairy-tale town with its unique stone and wooden merchant houses and wooden houses with intricate carvings and mouldings. You will see the monument to Alexander Nevsky on the embankment, look at the Volga river with high banks. Walk down the stairs to the luxurious City of masters.

Visit the Feodor Monastery. Feodor Monastery is a male monastery in Gorodets, with which the acquisition of the eponymous icon of the Mother of God is associated. The monastery has one of the most revered icons of the Mother of God in Russia. You will walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds of the monastery, learning about the unusual and rich history of this place from the guide's story.

You will also visit a Museum of samovars, which is located in the estate of Grishaev. The collection of samovars has about 400 samovars and is the largest in Russia.

14:00 Lunch at the cafe of Gorodets.

15:00 A visit to the Museum of wooden architecture "City of Masters".

The City of masters is a complex of wooden buildings dedicated to the history of wooden architecture of Nizhny Novgorod region in the XVI-XIX centuries. This complex is represented a luxurious Prince's Palace, the wooden houses of wealthy merchants and modest peasant houses.

You will visit the exhibition and workshops dedicated to the folk arts and crafts Gorodetsky district.

At the end of the tour of the "City of Masters," you will try Russian traditional  "Ivan-chai" tea with Gorodetsky Honey-Cakes, sweets, candies and enjoy a Folk song-play program in which you will be able to participate.
